If you are transporting your aluminium waste to a wholesaler to take advantage of our free recycling scheme, you need a Waste Carrier Licence

Any business that transports waste from their salon to a wholesaler’s branch must have a valid Waste Carrier Licence.

Therefore, to use the Recycle My Salon scheme in-store, you must register for a free waste carrier’s licence with the Environment Agency. This is to ensure that all waste is disposed of properly, avoiding damage to health and the environment.

 

While transporting waste without a license you could be fined.

Registration is free if you only transport waste you produce yourself, and only takes about 2 minutes.
