Why did Hair & Beauty World join the Recycle My Salon scheme?
As a company, we believe our industry should be committed to doing the right thing when it comes to protecting the environment, and that this commitment should exist at every level of the supply chain. From a distributor point of view, it is our duty to help carry this ethos to the wider salon community.
We hope to be able to educate salon owners on measures they can adopt to minimise waste and operate in a more sustainable manner. We are proud to be supporting a scheme dedicated to making salon recycling accessible to everyone and that isn’t driven by profit.
What commitments are Hair & Beauty World making to fight climate change?
We are proud to carry a number of ethically conscious brands within our portfolio, notably FFØR; a fully vegan and natural hair care & colour brand; and ECOHEADS; a brand which provides smart and sustainable salon solutions. From an operating point of view, all members of our Sales Team have switched to either fully electric or hybrid vehicles.

We are also in the process of switching to LED lighting in all our stores and offices and continually looking at more energy efficient methods of heating. We aim to be proactive in our reuse and recycling of packaging and hope that through partnering with Recycle My Salon we can encourage and support salons to do the same.
